Where should we place the Founder Message

Today marks a significant milestone in my personal journey and our shared mission: the launch of our website dedicated to overcoming video game addiction. As the founder, I am excited to share the story behind this initiative—an endeavor that has been three years in the making.

When I first set out on this path, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. Overcoming the addictive pull of video games isn’t just about willpower; it requires understanding, empathy, and the right tools to help others navigate their own journeys. My team and I faced numerous challenges along the way, from technical hurdles to the daunting task of curating credible information and strategies. Each setback was a learning opportunity, pushing us to innovate and refine our approach.

Our guiding principles have been grit and confidence. We believe in the importance of our mission: to create a resource that not only addresses addiction but also empowers individuals to reclaim control of their lives. This website is a testament to those principles—a culmination of countless hours of research, development, and unwavering dedication.

Looking ahead, we envision our platform evolving with the integration of AI technology. Imagine personalized support systems that adapt to each individual’s needs, virtual counselors available around the clock, and data-driven insights that deepen our understanding of addiction patterns. AI will play a crucial role in shaping the future of addiction recovery, and we are committed to incorporating these advancements in a responsible and ethical manner.

On a personal note, next fall, I will be taking a bold step in my own journey by attending a semester abroad in Switzerland at a school that strictly prohibits technology. This experience will be a unique challenge for someone so accustomed to digital connectivity. Throughout my semester in Switzerland, I plan to document my journey of living without technology. Here’s a glimpse into what I’ll be exploring:

• Morning Routine: I’ll reflect on starting my day without the usual digital distractions like checking emails or scrolling through social media. How will this change affect my mood and readiness for the day?
• Classroom Dynamics: I’ll share insights into how classroom interactions and learning methods differ without digital tools such as online resources or presentation software. How will I adapt to taking notes, participating in discussions, and studying for exams in this environment?
• Library Visits: Normally, I rarely visit libraries, but I want to see if that changes without easy internet access. How will I conduct research or find academic resources without electronic databases?
• Reading: I’ll track how many books I read and whether I find them more engaging than digital content.
• Writing Assignment: Writing without word processors or grammar checkers will be a new challenge. I’ll explore how handwriting or using a typewriter affects my writing process and creativity.
• Socializing and Events: I’ll document how I organize social activities and communicate without social media or messaging apps. How does this affect my social life and friendships?
• Physical Activities: I’ll share my experiences with staying active and fit without digital fitness trackers or online communities. How do I stay motivated and track my progress?
• Evening Wind-Down: I’ll explore new ways to relax in the evenings without streaming services, video games, or social media. What activities will fill the void?
• Sleep: I’ll examine whether avoiding screens improves my sleep quality and overall well-being.
• Personal Development: I’ll reflect on personal growth and self-improvement without the help of productivity apps or online resources. How will I track habits and set goals?
• Creative Projects: I’ll keep a daily log of any creative endeavors or unusual activities I find myself doing. Will a break from technology boost my creativity?
• Nature Exploration: I’ll share my experiences exploring the outdoors without digital distractions. How will this enhance my appreciation for nature and wildlife?

Few people have spent three months without technology and shared their experiences with the public, and I’m proud to say that I will be doing just that very soon.

As we embark on this next chapter, I invite you, our readers, to join us on this journey. Whether you’re struggling with addiction, supporting a loved one, or simply curious about our approach, your participation is invaluable. Together, we can break down barriers, challenge stigmas, and build a community of resilience and hope.
Thank you for being part of our story. Together, let’s make a difference

Warm regards,
